On August 16, W. Rogers Company was the successful bidder on a significant wastewater treatment plant expansion project near Knoxville, TN.-the Turkey Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant. The last expansion was in 1995, and now the plant currently serves 26,000 customers. The plants owner, First Utility District, is investing in this facility to meet the rapidly growing demands in the Farragut and Concord areas. W. Rogers will construct new headworks, an oxidation ditch, two new clarifiers and make other improvements during its two-year contract. Work should begin in September. W. Rogers Company's contract for $17 million will allow Turkey Creek to better serve the growing needs of Knox and Loudon counties.
