On March 11, W. Rogers Company was the successful bidder on a significant wastewater treatment plant expansion in Mt. Washington, Ky. The expansion is located adjacent to the existing plant. It will have the capacity to process 3.5 million gallons of water a day and accommodate a population approximately 35,000 - three times that of the current plant, which is operating at full capacity currently.
W. Rogers Company was the successful bidder at $12,944,000. This was nearly $1.2 million below the city's original estimate for the project. We were low among 13 bidders with prices ranging from $12.9 million to $16.9 million. Construction is expected to start in late May to early June.
