We at W. Rogers Company find it vitally important to be actively engaged in the Lexington community. In the past decade, W. Rogers Company has taken great strides in the community ensuring to support programs of all sorts in Lexington. These programs vary in many ways, but they have one major quality in common. They all serve the purpose to better the Lexington community.

Lexington Chamber of Commerce

Commerce Lexington's Leadership Lexington (presenting sponsor)

Leadership Lexington is a leadership development program sponsored by Commerce Lexington and directed toward individuals who demonstrate leadership qualities. The program gives participants the opportunity to better understand our city and to prepare for the challenges it faces by meeting with and learning from today’s leaders. Leadership Lexington is an educational opportunity that broadens participants' perspectives and increases their understanding of community dynamics and public issues.

United Way 10,000 Hours Show (presenting sponsor)

This event is a year-round effort to engage young adults in volunteer service that culminates in a free concert. The only way to gain admission is to volunteer with local nonprofits. After logging at least 10 hours, volunteers will receive tickets to the concert.

Unbridling the Leadership Spirit in Kentucky Communities Conference (presenting sponsor)

Group PhotoThis annual conference presents an opportunity for leaders in business, government and education to work together to build a stronger community in Kentucky. They focus primarily on leadership and how it can better the community. At this conference participants are encouraged to continue leadership development in order to strengthen their environment and community. Every year, a nationally known teacher in leadership development speaks to the group. In the most recent years, John Maxwell, internationally recognized leadership expert, and Jack Canfield, motivational speaker and co-creator of the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” book series, instilled leadership lessons in
the captive audience of 1,300.

Children's Charity Classic

Bluegrass Children’s Charity Golf Classic (sponsor and participant)

The Children’s Charity Classic was founded in 1981. It is one of America’s most enduring and profitable celebrity golf tournaments with a full contingent of corporate sponsors, celebrities and participants. Proceeds from the Children’s Charity Classic and other events associated with it benefit the Children’s Charity of the Bluegrass, which disburses funds to dozens of children’s charities in Central Kentucky each year.

The African American Forum, a non-profit arts and cultural organization, is committed to developing programs that support and highlight the artistic, cultural and educational achievements of African Americans. By sharing experiences reflective of African American culture, we encourage individuals to embrace diversity and, in doing so, create a greater culture and a united culture.

iwin (participant)

iwin is a workplace think tank. It connects the dots between rigorous academic research and effective organizations. Their research is informed by theory and guided by the need for innovative, practical solutions. iwin connect employers to these solutions by building, understanding and translating the research, creating applied tools and resources, influencing policy makers, and helping employers develop the workforce. They also help connect organizations to each other by fostering a regional employer learning community, where employers can learn from both local and national experts, and from of course, each other.
